5th Annual Festival of Trees – Mission

Event Date: December 9, 2017 Mission
Grand opening Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. with the Can Dance dancers

Tuesday to Saturday: December 5 – 9, 2017
Festival of Trees: Tuesday to Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Dramatic Reading: Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (Doors open 6:30 p.m.)

All decorated trees and donations will be given to the Mission Christmas Bureau at the end of the event.

Admission by cash donation. Come and vote for your favourite tree.

Listen and see some first class entertainment by local dancers and musicians like Can Dance Studios Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.; Appearing at dates and times to be announced will be the Mission Arts Council Orchestra, Mission Ukulele Circle, Richard Lepinsky & His Digital Band, Rae Dawn Irene Irving and Fred Truman. Cathy Hardy will perform and so will her students on Saturday, December 9 at 2 p.m. followed by the most wonderful choir; Nota Bene. Also appearing is Rick Chadwick – Band in a Box (Yamaha Tyros 5 digital workstation. More to be announced. Watch the remarks for updates.

Rudolph invites all children to the activities at the 5th Annual Festival of Trees!

Children’s Activities: Tuesday to Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm under the leadership of Sam (Samantha) Green. Making Christmas crafts and tree decorations; Story Time and much more.

There will special story times with Elspeth Bowers.

While the children are enjoying their activities, families and caregivers can relax and enjoy the decorated trees, entertainment, and refreshments.

Santa’s Grotto

Santa will be in his Grotto, with his helpers ready to greet “children of all ages” on Thursday and Friday, December 7th and 8th, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday, December 9th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Come and bring the whole family with you, pets included, and have photos taken with Santa in his Grotto amongst the decorated trees.

Come one, come all. This is going to be a lot of fun!
