Exploring the District of Kent & Agassiz During the Holiday Season

The District of Kent offers a natural playground for an assortment of activities, all year round, including swimming, golfing, biking, hang-gliding, and skiing; however, there is no better time to explore Agassiz and Kent than during the holiday season. Agassiz’s Dicken’s Christmas Tea

If you are looking for a great way to kick off the holiday season, there is nothing better than warming up with a hot cup of tea and spending time catching up with friends at the annual Christmas Tea held in the quaint town of Agassiz, BC. This annual event is hosted every year by the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society. This year the event will be held on December 2 from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at the Cheam Village Conference Room and will feature the Chilliwack Harmony Chorus, who will perform while tea and refreshments are being served.  Tickets are $20 per person and pre-sale only. Christmas at the Kilby Historic Site

The Kilby Historic Site will be hosting their traditional Christmas lunch in which they serve up their famous roast turkey dinner and all the trimmings for lunch on December 10. For this event, you will be able to book a table in the cozy restaurant for either the noon or 2pm seating. This Christmas lunch comes with a full course roast turkey dinner including roast turkey, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, and a dinner roll plus your choice of two desserts and a beverage. The CP Holiday Train comes to Agassiz

If you are looking for a free holiday event for the whole family, the CP Holiday Train on December 16 might be the right fit for you. This event will feature children’s activities and games, as well as a concession stand at the Agricultural Hall (located at 6800 Pioneer Avenue) in Agassiz from 3:30pm-5:00pm, followed by a performance by Alan Doyle & the Beautiful Band at 5:05pm. Feel free to also bring a heart-healthy, non-perishable food donation for the Agassiz Food Bank. For more information go to the Agassiz Harrison Community Services website.
