Holiday Light Displays Along BC Route 7

Published On: November 24, 2023Categories: Winter

Holiday light displays have the ability to light up the night with magic and wonder; bringing joy to children and a child-like glee to adults. Seeing lights reflected on happy, laughing faces serves to spread more merriment, and getting out of the house to view holiday lights has become a popular holiday pastime and tradition. Wondering where to see brilliant holiday light displays this season? Your best bet is to travel BC Route 7 – your ultimate holiday highway – and visit the vibrant communities along the way. Here are some must-see light displays that you don’t want to miss!

Special mention goes to the CP Holiday Train, as it chugs its way across Canada in its 25th year of supporting food banks by raising money, collecting food and spreading awareness of food insecurities. It’s a quintessential holiday experience, with train cars bedecked in sparkling holiday lights, playing holiday music, and bringing joy across Canada with stops in select cities for live musical performances (including the BC Route 7 locations of Agassiz and Maple Ridge). It can be spotted at several points along BC Route 7 as it travels to its westerly destination, but to get the total experience, we recommend taking in the concert.
