The communities along BC Route 7 are abuzz with fun holiday events, great shopping, delicious eats, and sparkling holiday lights. Grab your winter coats, pack the family in the car and make your way down the road to experience some holiday magic. We’ve compiled a list of holiday events we think you’ll enjoy, so join us as we start in Hope and make our way west along the always scenic BC Route 7: The Holiday Highway!

HOPE

It’s easy to get lost in the holiday spirit in this charming little town; with its backdrop of towering, snow-capped mountains, sparkling rivers, and infinite stretches of forest, Hope is like a magical Christmas village display come to life.

For a small town, Agassiz puts on one heck of a Christmas celebration. Even the train gets all decked out for the holidays! You’ll find so much to see and do in this delightful town famous for its strong agricultural roots. Maple Ridge has almost endless choices for shopping, so many that they have a number of distinct shopping districts: 224th Street District, the Dewdney Shopping Corridor, West Lougheed Shopping Corridor, and the Town Centre Lougheed Corridor. And, when the shopping is all done, you’ll want to stop in at one of the local craft breweries, pubs, or restaurants for a cold one and some tasty eats! There are so many to choose from: follow the BC Ale Trail and you’ll see what we mean.
